During Ramadan
We needed to create a mini-app feature within the Boost Customer App that focus on the importance of fasting month Ramadhan. Which allow user to be able to get precise time for breaking fast and prayers depending on the user’s location.
Ideation
Allow user to select different zone location.
”Use My Location” approach where it automatically detect the user’s location in order to gave them the precise time.
1 page solution that helps user to identify the prayer time throughout the day.
Background
A little background of what is Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic (Hijri) calendar and is considered the holiest month for Muslims.
During the Ramadan month, Muslim are required to fast. Abstract from food and drink, smoking, negative behaviours. Muslim break their fast at sunset(Iftar), and fasting starts at dawn (Fajr).
In the other hand, people are encourage to do good deeds especially during the Ramadan month. Therefore the thoughts of including the donation tile into the page is considered.
Concept
Breaking Fast or Fast is depending on the sunrise and sunset. Due to geographical location, every users in different location or state might have a slight difference in time of the to break fast and start fasting.
This is where [Detect Location] could come in handy where it detects the location of the user to give the user a more accurate time.
We’ve also included the option for the user who are curious about the time difference in different location as well. where user are able to change the location.
